Digital agencies are businesses that require large amounts of time from various team members. Typically, you have an account manager, salesperson, copywriter, designer, etc…
That´s why it makes a lot of sense to automate processes that save time - because time is money.
Here are a few ideas on smart AI Applications in a digital agency:
1. Team “Helpers”
These are AI applications that assist us either when creating or analyzing some content. They don´t directly do the tasks for us but rather give us guidance and clarity on the task.
📉 Report Creator
Upload a structured document with data and analyze it with AI. If you need to report to multiple clients, create a templated prompt for each of them.
Then, you just upload last month´s data and send a formatted and professional report.
⌨️ Landing Page Copy Optimizer
Create an AI Application that helps you create or optimize high-converting landing page copy based on information about the target audience.
Also, it could give you feedback on what to improve or A/B test when running campaigns to the landing page. You could even give it data from tools such as Hotjar and ask it to give recommendations based on that.
🤯 Idea Generator
AI is great at giving you a list of ideas or angles you would never think of. Need an idea for your next campaign? Or do you need name for a product you are launching?
Ask for 20 ideas, or even 100. AI can give them to you. Might not be the best but it can save hours of trying to think of ideas alone or with your team.

Most of people use poor prompts and give up too soon when creating content with AI. If you want to create really valuable content, you need high-quality prompts that give you consistently good outcomes.

Promoting a business through SEO has never been easier. Bear in mind, it still isn´t easy.
You do keyword research and gather information about what users are interested in.
Then, you brainstorm ideas for articles based on this data.
When you have the topic and target keywords, you need to find well-written articles on the internet.
These get inputted into your AI and it will be able to generate mid-quality articles for you on autopilot. These are enough for ranking, but don´t forget to do all the other SEO activities as well (AI might help you there as well).

First, you need to show the AI how a Google ad looks (How many headlines, descriptions, characters).
Then, create a prompt that can be used for any type of business where you just need to change a few variables in it.
Voilá, you have an experienced copywriter at your hands at any time.
3. Assistants
These are chatbots that help you achieve certain tasks that were done only by assistants till now.
Few ideas:
Client communication assistant - If you teach the AI how to communicate with a specific client, you can have an answer ready any time you get an e-mail from your client.
Meeting notes assistant - Probably used by most of my readers. If you have a meeting, simply create a transcript of the meeting and then automatically input the Meeting notes into the correct database in your project management tool.
Then, you can automatically create tasks based on the Meeting notes and assign them as well.
Internal Resource Chatbot - Create a knowledge base with all of your company´s information. Then, input it into a custom chatbot and let the team interact with the chatbot when they need something.
Whether it´s an SOP or some resource related to a client, just ask the chatbot and it will search for you. Just don´t forget to update the knowledge base regularly.
BONUS: Your AI Influencer
While traditional influencers are expensive, you can create an AI influencer that posts images with products and promotes services regularly. This will save you costs and also create a competitive advantage.

If done right, it can completely transform your campaigns
While a typical copywriter spends a lot of time creating a highly converting copy for your Google and Facebook ads, AI can have it done in 5 minutes.
With the right input, it could create a semi-perfect output every time you ask it to write copy for you.
For both agencies and brands
An Agency can create such an AI for each client separately. Imagine being able to upload your campaign results into an AI and being able to analyze it and suggest new ad copy based on that.
For a brand, this might be even more valuable. When you create only 1 AI, you can spend a lot of resources building it so it delivers perfect results.
Step-by-step on how to build ad copy creator
Gather all of your copywriting knowledge and write it in a concise way
Create a knowledge base for the first client. This should include their product, competitors, target audience, offer, website copy, and other marketing materials. (You can also let chatGPT do some of the research for you)
Now, if available, gather all ads and creatives that have worked for this type of client in the past as well as data on how well each of them worked.
Create an AI through platforms such as Mindstudio or N8N. This might be too complex and you might need to hire someone to do this for you. The final product will look something like this:

By answering these questions, the copywriter will provide the AI with all the necessary information to deliver a high-quality product.
After the AI has all the information, it will provide the user with an ad copy in the right format, in the right length, based on the right data.
The Junior copywriter will then check for any misspellings and faults. If needed, they will adjust some of the copy.
This workflow alone can easily save you more than 3 hours each month on each client.

The Future looks bright, for AI…
As LLMs become more advanced and create higher-quality outputs every day, we can expect agencies fully run by AIs in the future.
All of the data will be gathered by AI and the human will not be needed at any point anymore. I believe we might get the biggest companies giving us the option to directly create these creatives with AI.
